Load matching the NS sand wagons. These low side-board wagons were built in the mid-1950s on the basis of discarded CHD undercarriages. The wagons were used for the transport of sand from the sand works in Maarn and Crailoo. In the aftermath of these cars, the compact open boxes were used as depot or work cars for all kinds of maintenance work.
